All Blue states! The donations are literally bribes to continue w/the indoctrination of young minds. Molding them to be the progressive socialists they're becoming. Colleges deserve nothing from the government which means tax payers. Disgusting waste of money!

Amen and Amen !! I read in the past day that Harvard is starting remedial math courses. Also they're going to pay more of the undegrad tuition. These schools, I feel, are more for the rich kids to make contacts for the future. Poor kids are admitted for entertainment. How do I know this? I lived this.

100% right. Why? Universities with medical research are funded by Big Pharma. Same "people" (Corporations treated as "people" for corrupt two-tier tax code purposes) who are STILL profiting from mRNA killer experimental drugs, with hundreds more "in the pipeline", exempted from liability, using non-profit 501(c)3 taxpayer money to fund it. You think RFK Jr and Pres Trump are doing anything to stop it? Nope. The UniParty rules America = Big Gov + Big Corp.

I have long said that the govt should NOT be giving student loans for any of these colleges. Let the college give the loan. If they think their degree is so valuable then their students will have no problem finding good work, with such a revered degree in hand, and no issue paying it back.

You are exactly right. Let the colleges finance their tuition.

Elite universities live in a fantasy world of no consequences. They rarely have to meet a budget ( they just raised tuition), they're not constrained in their spending due to their massive endowments, the professors have tenure yet no clue about the outside world, the students are simply given a grade in most cases because they're "so damn smart or they wouldn't have gained entrance in the first place", and they learn absolutely nothing of value in the real world.

No one gets less than a Gentleman “C.” This, apparently, is how the slow-witted George. W. Bush got through Yale.

Really good question! Tuition should be enough to cover operating costs. It would be interesting to know where all this money is going.

Probably it is supporting academic egos.

I worked at the state university for 25 years. It is in a red state

And t h e university usually followed the rules. Every once in a while something would happen. And they would do the correct thing.
