As a foreigner, I am struggling to understand what are the benefits of having a CT SSN vs HI SSN as this doesn't seem to be a case of identity theft? Thank you in adance for enlightening me, Susan.
Social Security Numbers were assigned by the address where you lived when you applied for it. The numbers on the east coast of the US started with a 0 and two other numbers. Connecticut’s assigned numbers went from 040 to 049 as the starting numbers. The starting numbers increased as you crossed the country. Hawaii’s always started with 575 or 576.
In your lifetime here, you are assigned one number. No number is ever reassigned and a number is dropped when a person dies. To use a number other than the one assigned originally is against the law. Obama would have been assigned a number starting with 575 or 576. Instead, in his mid-20s he started using the number of a dead person from Connecticut. He violated the law from then on and everything he acquired was done illegitimately, including getting elected to office.
Obama’s administration changed the law in June 2011 to randomizing how the numbers were assigned. I believe that was done to muddy the waters over his illegal number and it became a nightmare for law enforcement.
Seems to be even more proof of fraud. Zero other reason to change the long-standing system, and may well be the reason for the $T’s going out of our treasury.
